Inside the sukiya-style building of Unagi Akimoto, you can savor the highest grade domestic unagi of the season, which has been recognized by the Michelin club.

Unagi Akimoto utilizes the style of "split, steam, and grill," which brings out the best flavor of the unagi, and is a perfect location for entertaining important guests as well as for banquets.

Unagi Akimoto has a private room that can accommodate up to twenty guests. The fact that it has been used for auspicious events and Buddhist memorial services is the proof of guests’ trust in the establishment. They also prepare courses that feature rare dishes that use Kyosui unagi. Kyosui unagi is produced in Oigawa-cho, Shizuoka Prefecture, where the utmost importance is placed on the unagi’s inherent deliciousness, and quality research is carried out.

The unagi used in Unagi Akimoto is cultivated in underground water from the southern alps of Japan, so it maintains the same flavor and aroma as unagi found in nature. The menu features a full line-up of dishes that allow you to enjoy unagi to your heart’s content, such as grilled unagi liver, grilled unagi and cucumber in vinegar dressing, and rolled egg omelette with unagi.

The restaurant is frequented by many foodies. Akimoto takes course reservation up until noon of the same day, so it is perfect for when you need to reserve a seat last-minute. Even the party organizer will not have to worry at all, since everything is perfect here at Akimoto.

    はじめてうなぎの高級店に行きましたがどの料理もおいしかったです。そして個室で雰囲気もよかった。招待した人も満足してくれました。ひとつだけ思ったのですが「共水うなぎコース」を頼んだのですが当日は共水うなぎについての言及が一切ありませんでした。「うなぎづくしコース 」と「共水うなぎコース」は値段がちがうので、きっと共水うなぎは、よりおいしいとか貴重であるとか、何か特徴があるのだと思いますが、そのようなうんちくを少し説明していただくとより満足感が高まったように思います。
