The finest pairing of Japanese food and wine, cultivated at first-class restaurants in Japan and abroad

Nogizaka Shin is a Japanese restaurant that opened in June 2016. The restaurant is a partnership between owner Shinji Ishida, who gained experience at world gourmet guide awarded Japanese restaurants in Ginza and Paris, and maitre d' and sommelier Yasuhide Tobita.

The restaurant serves Japanese cuisine using carefully selected ingredients sourced mainly from Ishida's home town, Tokushima Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. He has particularly strong feelings about sea bream, an indispensable ingredient in Japanese cooking that sourced from Tokushima, which he says will always be the yardstick for his development as a chef and an ingredient he is confident working with. Complementing the cooking is an extensive wine and sake list that draws on sommelier Hida's overseas experience. This is used to create perfectly balanced pairings that open up new frontiers for Japanese cuisine.

The restaurant is compact, with a six-seat counter and three private rooms, and set menus are served for both lunch and dinner. Children are welcome in lunchtime (state during the reservation) and English service is available, making the restaurant suitable for entertaining or meeting with overseas guests.

Very enjoyable evening for one that enjoys food. A succession of delectable, well orchestrated and thought out dishes that excites the palate left us with full happy bellies .... hahhaa. A fish based omakase combined with so many other food ... shows the chef's deep appreciation of the cuisine and its desired effect on the palate. The use of fresh local produce is another plus point ..... dinner's finale is a fine macha .... full range of Japanese Kaiseki on display ... excellent. Will be recommending Nogisaka Shin to good friends only ..... hahhaha
