Located in Nakameguro, this kiln-grilled Wagyu steak house uses white charcoal from Kishu.

Nakameguro, next to Shibuya, is not only a residential area but also a popular gourment spot."SteakDiningVitis" guarantees that customers will have a quality time enjoying the Japanese black beef steak grilled by Kishu white charcoal. "Steak is the most delicious if it is grilled by charcoal", said the chef. As a result, there is a special kiln in the restaurant that is made of fire bricks. The restaurant uses Japanese black cow and "Umabejokomaru", which is the best quality of the Kishu white charcoal.The chef grilled the steak directly with the fire, which makes the surface crispy and at the same time keeps the inside moisture. The dripped extra fat of the steak not only makes the steak healthier, but also merges with the smoke of the charcoal, which enhances the taste of the steak.

Owner chef,Sohei Yuki, worked in the famous charcoal grilled steak restaurant, "Shimbashi Tamura-cho Aragawa" and "Tsukiji Steak Gorio", for seven years and moved to Chinese restaurant "Chi-fu" and yakiniku restaurant before opening this restaurant in 2014. The speciality includes not only the homemade smoke salmon, but also the sirloin, the top round cap off and the beef tongue.

The restaurant's name means "mother tree" in Latin.There is a great selection of wine because the owner wants the restaurant to be "the place where the steak grilled by the mother tree matches well with premium wine". The price of this hidden restaurant is reasonable because it is located a little away from the center. Please enjoy spending special anniversary in this restaurant.
