Chinese cuisine you can enjoy at The Peninsula Tokyo in the heart of the city.

Despite being just a stone’s throw away from Hibiya, one of the largest business districts in Japan, The Peninsula Tokyo is a luxurious hotel that exudes a sense of peace and relaxation with its stunning views of Hibiya Park and The Imperial Palace Gardens. Hei Fung Terrace, a restaurant on the second floor, specializing in Chinese cuisine, opened in 2007 and established itself quickly through its authentic style of utilizing Japanese ingredients in Cantonese dishes.

Chef Osaki is the first Japanese executive Chinese chef at any of the Peninsula Hotels. They serve dishes that bring out the original flavours of the ingredients such as soup made with a particular dashi. While predominantly Japanese ingredients are used, some pastes and dried foods are imported from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Set menu dishes vary from world-renowned options such as Kuroge Wagyu beef, abalone, Chinese specialty “bird’s nest” dishes, and other attractive dishes which vary depending on the seasonal ingredients, including dim sum handmade by Hong Kong chefs. Irrespective of the course selected, diners can be certain to indulge themselves with mouth-watering dishes which are nothing short of exquisite. Equally impressive is the wide range of drinks available, including Shaoxing wine, various kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and more than 20 kinds of premium Chinese teas.

The restaurant is inspired by Suzhou, China's classic garden, and boasts an exotic 118-seat space that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. In addition to the spacious dining area, there are 3 private dining rooms, and a Chef's Table which allows visitors to enjoy watching the chefs in action. Hei Fung Terrace is ideal for private occasions such as dates and social gatherings, business entertainment, anniversaries, and celebrations with family.
