Despite being just a stone’s throw away from Hibiya, one of the largest business districts in Japan, The Peninsula Tokyo exudes a sense of peace and relaxation with its stunning views of Hibiya Park and The Imperial Palace Gardens. Hei Fung Terrace, a restaurant on the second floor specializing in Chinese cuisine, opened in 2007 and established itself quickly through an authentic style of utilizing Japanese ingredients in Cantonese dishes.

Head Chef Dicky To has held his position since July 2014, following years of experience working at some of the highly recognized restaurants and hotels located in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau, and Shanghai. Prior to joining The Peninsula Tokyo, Chef To held the role of Executive Chinese Chef at The Peninsula Shanghai’s very own Chinese restaurant, Yi Long Court. This wealth of experience has provided Chef To the ability to weave his magic in creating unique combinations of traditional Cantonese dishes which cater to the more delicate Japanese palate.

While Japanese ingredients are used predominantly, some pastes and dried foods unavailable in Japan are imported from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Set menu dishes vary from world-renowned options such as Kuroge Wagyu beef, abalone, and the Chinese speciality “bird’s nest” dishes, to a range of lunchtime dimsums, and even full à la carte menus which are unique to Hei Fung Terrace. Irrespective of the course selected, diners can be certain to indulgein mouth-watering dishes which are nothing short of exquisite. Equally impressive is the widerange of drinks available, including Shaoxing wine, various kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and premium Chinese teas.

The restaurant is inspired by Suzhou, China's classic garden, is offering a 118-seat exotic space that will make you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. In addition to the spacious dining area, there are 3 private dining rooms, and a Chef's Table which allows visitors to enjoy views of the chefs in action. Hei Fung Terrace is ideal for casual dates, business entertainment, anniversaries, and any social or professional occasion for a great meal in an elegant setting.
