POUND-YA YAKINIKU opened in December 2017 and is located only a minute walk from the Gakugei Daigaku station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. Its sister restaurant POUND-YA Roppongi, which specializes in steak and hamburgers, is popular for its sell-by-weight style and good quality meat. This is a yakiniku restaurant which is highly recommended for health-conscious customers, since they don’t use any chemical seasoning and stock a large number of natural wines chosen by the World's 50 Best Sommeliers, Mr. Yonseju.

Customers can order from the best selection of domestic A4, A5 grade Japanese Black Wagyu beef, along with the classic Yakiniku menu of grilled meat such as lean meat, marbled beef and beef tongue. Yakiniku restaurants general use chemical seasonings to enhance the taste of the sauce. However, at POUND-YA YAKINIKU, they use a variety of spices such as malted rice (shiokoji and misokoji) and garam masala, to create a Yakiniku-like flavor. Also, for customers who wish to enjoy high-quality meat that can be eaten in a variety of ways, they offer courses incorporating a range of meat such as Wagyu Onigiri and Yaki-Shabu. Customers can enjoy the more playful contents of the dishes, such as refreshing somen noodles and minced meat or fish with soy sauce ove rice, made using premium meat or Japanese sponge cake.

The front of the restaurant features an impressive red light and showcases decorated with clusters of meat, similar to that of a butcher’s shop.
In addition to counter and table seats, in the back of the restaurant there are also private tatami rooms with table seats which can be used for family and business entertainment. Each counter seat also comes equipped with a roaster, so customers can eat yakiniku without having to wait. Why not challenge yourself and try a new style of yakiniku?

    昨年の10/7 一人での初来店以来の二度目の訪店は久しぶりに会う友人との会食。前回同様の¥5184の入門コースを予約オーダー。CPが良く満足度高い印象は前回同様。焼肉の美味しさはもちろん、締めのカレーの美味しさは際立つ。味とともにサービスレベルの高さには友人も納得。

    個室を指定したわけでもありませんでしたが、子連れということもあってか、個室に通していただきました。 お出迎えからとても感じがよく、料理もお肉もとても美味しかったので、また折を見て伺わせていただきます。 特に、スープをすくいやすくするため(?)に、コースの終盤に出てくる鍋が絶妙に斜めに設置されるなど、細かい配慮には感動しました。 ほぼ満席であったためか、はたまた美味しすぎてすぐに平らげてしまったためかわかりませんが、少し料理の間隔が長いような気もしました。 最終的には満腹で寝てしまった子供達を抱っこして出なければならなかったため、物理的に財布を出すことができない状況でしたが、ポケットコンシェルジュでの予約だったので、会計せずに退店でき、助かりました。 次また伺わせていただくときが楽しみです。

    とにかくサービスレベルの高さに驚きました。店内の雰囲気、内装も焼肉店のイメージを覆すもの。さすが飲食店コンサルタント会社が経営する店だと。コース内容もCP高く、1人のカウンター席も居心地の良いものでした。再訪したいと思っています。
