Delicate Italian cuisine which shows the charm of local ingredients

COME is an Italian restaurant located in a quiet area close to the Yanagibashi Rengo Market, where you can buy a lot of Hakata ingredients. Chef Kentaro Kometani, who shows his culinary ability over the restaurants counter, started his career as a chef at the age of 23. He was trained for 3 years at a restaurant in Kansai, and then spent about 7 and a half years at Sala Carina in Fukuoka, before opening his own restaurant. He received a Michelin one-star award.

Since he cherishes local ingredients, the main dish uses ingredients from Kyushu and Fukuoka with the concept of "local production for local consumption". It is simple and delicate Italian cuisine which draws out the good quality flavor of the ingredients. In particular, Chef Cometani is confident in advising that his ingredients be purchased directly from the farm and ample time is taken to roast the meat.

The main dish uses Miyazaki's famous brand of beef, Ozaki Beef. It is characterized by its common use in high class restaurant and its light fat content. Depending on the season, customers can also enjoy carefully selected pork such as Saddle Back, a rare pig from Kagoshima Prefecture, and Meishaton Pork from Tsukahara Farm in Ibaraki prefecture. The herbs are sourced from Kajitani Farm in Hiroshima, the tomatoes are special Tokutani tomatoes from Kochi Prefecture, and the organically produced vegetables are directly procured from a farm in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. All are ingredients chosen by Chef Cometani. Wine which pairs well with the food is imported by Vinarius using a thorough temperature management system, guaranteeing to be delivered in good condition. There are around 100 bottles of Italian wine prepared.

The restaurant's interior is entirely custom-made, decorated with plaster walls and tiles procured from Italy, creating an urban ambience. The counter and ceiling use wood which produces a stylish setting where customers are able to feel the warmth of trees. One of the many pleasures of COME is the chance to enjoy conversation with the chef at 1 of the 8-counter seats. This is the restaurant which can be used for dates, anniversaries and meals with colleagues or family.
