"Aoyama ELYSION HOUSE" is an Italian restaurant that has operated continually since 2003 in a quiet residential area, a 5-minute walk from a station served by multiple subway lines. After studying French cuisine for 6 years, chef Mitsuru Ishizuka studied the basics of Italian cuisine at "Ristorante Alporto" in Nishi-Azabu and the "Incontro" restaurant in Futako Tamagawa. Later, he worked as a chef at the "TrattoriaAlPorto" in Mita, "Pescheria Porto Amare" in Shinjuku, and "Ristorante Nobilduca" in Hiroo, and has been managing the kitchen of "Aoyama ELYSION HOUSE" since 2013. During that time, in 1983, he displayed his proficiency by winning the Gold Prize (Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award) at the 22nd National Skills Competition (Western cuisine).
The specialties that display Mr. Ishizuka's skills are 'Japanese Lobster Linguine' and 'Spaghetti with Italian Bottarga'. He selects his ingredients from those confidently recommended by trusted suppliers, choosing the place of origin, etc. according to the season. Also, the wine is mainly from Italy. Champagne is also carefully selected by the manager, Mr. Okabe.
The interior of "Aoyama ELYSION HOUSE," a refurbished private residence, is truly the ELYSION from Greek mythology–paradise on earth. It is a fantastic space filled with extraordinary experiences and a sprinkling of new surprises. The 1st-floor main dining room (seats 80 people/120 people standing), with its view of the garden, is filled with sunlight from the rooflights during the day, creating a peaceful atmosphere like a scene from a movie. In the evening, the sparkle of the chandelier turns it into a luxurious party space. There are 5 private rooms (2 to 16 people) of different types that can be used by guests with young children. In addition, there is a 2nd-floor lounge (16 people) with a bar counter.
Due to its location, "Aoyama ELYSION HOUSE" is often visited by staff from the Canadian embassy. It is hidden away in the heart of the capital and is ideal if you want to reserve some adult space and time for enjoying a special occasion.
