SENSE Cantonese Dining is an eight-minute drive from JR Tokyo Station and also accessible directly from Tokyo Metro Mitsukoshi-mae Station. Perched on the 37th floor of the Mandarin Oriental in Nihombashi, the cultural and economic center of Tokyo, the restaurant commands dynamic views of the city’s stunning skyline and Tokyo Skytree.
This restaurant offers traditional Cantonese cuisine featuring immaculate ingredients from around the world. Given the exquisite quality of the produce, dishes such as Okinawa star grouper, abalone, and fresh Chinese vegetables offer modern and delicate flavors. Some dishes, such as a platter of Assorted Cantonese Barbeque (consisting of the holy trinity of traditional Hong Kong-style pork delicacies) or Barbecued Kyoto Duck Skin Rolls, are carved tableside for added theatre.
SENSE Cantonese Dining also keeps some 6,000 bottles available at any time, offering a vast selection of over 800 different kinds of wines, not only from Japan but also from the New World, South Africa, Oceania, the U.S., and other corners of the world, to satisfy the thirst of international travelers. Prestige wine options are also available by the glass. In addition, a wide variety of Chinese tea and Shaoxing wines, including 50-year old Guyue and Longshan, are available.
The restaurant has the ability to accommodate up to 70 guests. Two private rooms with eight seats each can be converted into a single large dining room with 18 seats. As an added plus, the restaurant’s sophisticated hotel dining service makes it the perfect place to entertain business clients, celebrate anniversaries, and enjoy intimate meals with one’s family and children. The restaurant also offers multilingual services for international guests.
