A decidedly unique pizza served at a counter in the sky on the 38th floor of a five-star hotel

An 8-minute drive from JR Tokyo Station, direct connection to Tokyo Metro Mitsukoshimae Station. On the 38th floor of Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, a five-star hotel that stands as a landmark in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo, where the style and history of the Edo period still lives on, there is a pizzeria with just eight counter seats. The same 38th floor is home to an authentic Italian restaurant called K'shiki where you can tell them the name and they will guide to the pizza bar in the rear. A spectacular view of the city center unfolds, and in front of the L-shaped, glossy marble-topped counter is a cooking area with marble walls. Behind that sits a formidable pizza oven.

The Pizza Bar ON 38TH is led by Executive Chef Daniele Cason. The pizza dough crafted by the Rome native is made with Italian organic flour using just one gram of yeast and 80% water for a slow and gentle 48-hour fermentation to create a light and digestible crust. The specialty is "Truffle Scented Mascarpone Cheese Pizzino". It's a light, bite-sized pizza topped with truffles. Another is the classic "Bufala", a simple but very popular pizza based on from Buffalo mozzarella. The light texture is the gift of Chef Cason's dough.
For drinks, there is always a selection of over 6,000 bottles of 800 kinds of wines from around the world on hand, including domestic labels. In addition to bottles, there are also sets that include three recommended wines by the glass, so you can enjoy them in a variety of styles. They also have a non-alcoholic wine set prepared by a sommelier.
As a noble dining set in a high-rise hotel, an attraction of The Pizza Bar ON 38TH is the live theater of the master pizzaiolo baking in front of you. The quality of the pizza is also endorsed by Italy, and the restaurant has been awarded three slices in the 2020 edition of the "Top Italian Restaurants", a digital guide for rating Italian restaurants around the world by Gambero Rosso.

Dining with a spectacular view from eight counter seats. Perfect for a date, dinner with friends, or even a gathering of foodies. Your time at The Pizza Bar ON 38TH is sure to be unforgettable.
