We uses fresh, seasonal and natural ingredients such as conger pike in summer and wild pufferfish in winter. Suitable not only for business gathering but also for casual purpose.

Located in Ningyo-cho, in a back alley on Amazake Yokocho, this two-story restaurant devoted to Japanese cuisine was established in 1955. The ground floor features a cypress counter seats and table seating while the top floor is fully set up with table seats and private rooms. The tables for up to 7 diners each offer views of the greenery, allowing guests to enjoy the ambiance, while the private rooms, which accommodate 4 guests max, offer complete privacy.

Selected at the market each day, we bring together a range of in-season ingredients. This allows a glimpse into the spirit of craftsmanship and sincere attitude of the proprietor towards food. With deliberately simple preparation, the dishes that are created bring out the umami flavor of their ingredients to their fullest. From the first mouthful, guests will enjoy both rich flavors and the sense of seasons.

Ingredients include but not limited to: Sakura sea bream and Kyoto bamboo shoots in spring; conger pike, wild ayu, and wild eel in summer; matsutake mushrooms and tilefish in autumn; and wild pufferfish, Matsuba crab, soft-shelled turtle, and mallard duck in winter. In a subdued, calm, and harmonious atmosphere, guests can quietly enjoy the mood of the four seasons.

We offer pleasant service that maintains a proper and reasonable sense of distance, which is perfect for business reception. The proprietress’s friendly, shitamachi Tokyo-style manner with guests embellishes and adds life to the dignified space. You will find us comfortable and convenient even if it's your first visit to us for business reception.

The service from the okami and all the staffs was really excellent. I could only understand very limited Japanese, but they kept communicating with us as best they could. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were unique.
