Have you ever tried the real dry-cured ham? Have you ever tasted the authentic handmade Italian pasta? There is no doubt that moLa is the place in Japan where guests can experience the authentic and dynamic Italian flavors. 
With the opening of moLa in March 2016, an Italian ambience swept Minami-Aoyama, the area of 5-minutes' walk from Omotesando Station. An Italian restaurant created by owner chef Noriyuki Usui, specializing in dishes based on local cuisine from Northern Italy. Chef Usui learned the traditional method of making dry-cured ham from Massimo Spigaroli, known as the god and creator of the luxury Italian cured ham Culatello, at Antica Corte Pallavicina, a Michelin 1-star restaurant in Emilia Romagna, and also worked as the sous-chef at the "Paolo Teverini" in the same region.  
moLa offers homemade ham cured in the natural ambient of a studio in the Shinshu region, thinly carved to slices with a manual slicer. Once the ham enters your mouth, it melts and produce a luxurious sweetness mingled perfectly with the right amount of saltiness, spreading softly with exquisite timing and balance. The flavor of ham is so captivating that it will never cease to fascinate the mouth of a fans of Italian cuisine.
The pasta handmade every morning is a new concept that not like what it used to be. With the traditional Italian cooking tool, a wooden rolling pin known as a mattarello, is used to diligently stretch the dough which its formula arranged differently depending on the weather, temperature and level of humidity. Pasta made by this way is to match the seasonal ingredients to the greatest extent. It will bring you to Italy and is a unique experience that can be only tasted by yourself.
The tiny space of moLa composed of a open kitchen and seats at counter and tables, a good choice for casual dating or gather between fans of Italy. Without doubt, moLa is the Italian restaurant in Tokyo makes you feel so close to its origin.
