Located in a quiet residential area just three minutes on foot from Yoyogi-Uehara Station on the Odakyu Line, Yoyogi-Uehara Yuu is a Japanese restaurant that specializes in making incredible use of "now-or-never" seasonal ingredients. Here is a venue can provide you a calm and relaxing atmosphere, that attracts lots of regular guests from the area and places far away.

The owner, Mr. Imoto, got his start in the cooking world at Ristorante Hamasaki in Minami-Aoyama and went on to learn the arts of Japanese food and sake at Ginza KAN and at Potsura-Potsura in Shibuya. Then, in 2014, he struck out on his own with a strong desire to "deliver meals with spirits and vegetables carefully selected to embody the philosophy of the chef." Travelling among a variety of farms, Mr. Imoto listens to the ideas and philosophies behind the vegetables cultivated and selected those that, more than being purely delicious, are also the most authentic. The seasonal "Chef's Selected Course" which changes on a weekly basis, makes full use of "now-or-never" ingredients taken from the fields to offer a sensory experience of the four seasons.

A further commitment to perfection can be seen in the Japanese sakes storage. Notably, all sakes on offer are of the "Ouroku" brand, hailing from Shimane Prefecture. All Ouroku sakes are produced unfiltered and in limited quantities, and Mr. Imoto was fascinated by the philosophy of its creator. Even the same Ouroku exhibits different aspects of its scent and flavor when drunk differently, such as from a sake glass versus a wine glass, giving it incredible versatility and potential.

With both counter and table seating available, the venue allows guests to fully enjoy the cuisine and Japanese sake on offer, whether for group meals with friends, dates, casual dining or business outings.
