A French restaurant that represents chef Namai's concept was opened in 2017.
In autumn 2017, a new restaurant with unique cuisine was opened in a residential area near Hiroo shopping district. The name of the restaurant "Ode" signifies magnificient and sentimental "ode" in Latin. The owner chef, Yusuke Namai, has worked at different French restaurant in Tokyo and Karuizawa. He was working in the restaurant "CHIC peut-etre" until spring this year.
Before opening his own restaurant, he has been traveling around and was talking with different producers in Japan to find the best ingredients. He bought in fish from fishermen of Goto Islands, Kanazawa, Yawatahama and Hakodate, and stocked vegetables from farmers who has strong preferences in soil.The word "Ode" means is to tell your thought. Mr. Namai, thinking as a producer, wants people who visited his restaurant to feel his thinking from the presentation of his cuisine. Dinner menu has 11 courses including snacks. In the future, while still serving his signature dishes, he not only wants to continously improve his skill and focus on the sauce and traditional element, but also include the modern factor into his french cooking.
The interior of the restaurant is in grey tone with a 13-seat counter. The counter is more like chef's table, where customers can enjoy watching how the delicious dishes are cooked, There is also a 4-guest private room and a 6-guest semi private room which can be utilized depending on the application. Please enjoy the new journey with owner chef Namai's new restaurant "Ode".
