Please enjoy Japanese traditional course that is mixture of creative dishes and dishes with a lot of meat in Gion, Kyoto.

5 minutes by walk from Gionshijyo station,Nikunotkumi Miyoshi is close to Yasaka Shrine, and it blends into a city of Gion which is a very quiet mood. It is Japanese traditional restaurant which has a good reputation of original course with a lot of meat.

Owner-chef, Mr. Tsutomu Ito had previously been in charge of service at a restaurant. One time, he had the opportunity to eat special beef with outstanding freshness from his friend who was a beef wholesaler, and he got shocked by its taste and awakened to beef dishes. Through trial and error, he opened the restaurant in 2005. At first, it was more casual style than what it is now, but, advised by his customers, he sought for a course rich in his originality and finally ended up the current style.
There is only a monthly Japanese traditional course. Beginning with a bowl that combines seasonal ingredients with soup stock taken with meat, dishes combine creative dishes on that time such as tongue marinated with kelp, summer truffle and steamed rice with sirloin. and orthodox meat dishes such as Shabu-Shabu and steak. Dishes with a lot of meat which makes meat lovers excited are served.
Mr. Ito not only uses meat as main in his traditional meat dishes, but also he cooks meat as support such as way of taking soup in some dishes. Cooking meat in a different way for course dishes is an interesting part of his courses. Once you eat seasonal food such as matsutake mushroom and truffle, you break into a smile for sure.


Five different parts are prepared for the main steak, and you can choose your favorite part of the meat. Mr. Ito uses carefully selected delicious meat from time to time, for example, Kobe beef, Omi beef, and rare special Matsuzaka beef etc, and all of them are meat of cow.

There are 6 counter seats and 12 table seats where you can relax in the atmosphere of Gion.
If you want to settle down for a business meeting, please choose a table seat. If you want to have a good time with eating lovers, please choose a counter seat where you can see the owner chef cook in front of you. You can get excited thinking about what will come out next, and have a time like a dream of enjoying meat.
