Tempura restaurant Tsunahachi was opened in 1924, Shinjuku. While placing importance on heartfelt hospitality and the best performance by skilled chefs, it has stirred up the tempura industry with innovative endeavors. Tsunohazuan was opened in 1991 as a place for Tsunahachi to provide the highest quality taste and service. In stark difference to the retro, vintage feel of the main restaurant, Tsunohazuan has been called the guest house of Tsunahachi, taking up the entire 6 floors of a modern building.

The restaurant consists of not only counter seats – the charm of tempura restaurants – but also table seats that can seat up to 30 people for private parties and completely private rooms, creating a space for customers to have a slow, leisurely experience. The ingredients used range from specially ordered refined sesame seed oil and fresh seafood purchased at Tsukiji market in the morning, fresh vegetables delivered directly from contracted farms such as Ebihara Farm. Those who stand in the kitchen are the most skilled of the chefs in Tsunahachi. Each tempura dish, deep-fried and presented at the perfect timing, is the result of the finest ingredients and skills – a true work of art.

Tsunohazuan has the largest number of sommeliers in Tsunahachi, as well as types of wine, which pair well with the tempura. The hospitality of the female staff wearing kimonos makes customers feel at home, as the entire experience goes above and beyond the concept of “highest quality tempura at a reasonable cost”. ​​Only a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station, Tsunohazuan is a place you can rely on everything from business entertainment to celebrations to family-oriented parties.

The fine service of women serving in kimono is also comfortable and gives us a satisfying feeling over the concept of "extremely fine tempura at a casual price".
