The restaurant, which was renovated and reopened on 18 July 2023, offers an enjoyable dining experience with witty conversation by the friendly owner.
Nihonbashi OIKAWA offers dishes that feature both Japanese and Western with the use of hand-picked ingredients sourced from Tsukiji every morning, and fresh vegetables from Kyoto. The chef pays great attention to detail by creating a selection of dishes that are especially suited to the tastes of the guests. For example, he prepares special menu for overseas guests, including the popular "grilled black cod in Saikyo Miso" and "Kyoto beef," as well as the rice course "takikomi gohan (seasoned rice)." In addition, as can be expected of traditional Japanese course meals, matcha will be prepared at the end of the meal, also a pot of "closing steamed rice" will be offered to each group of guests.
Private rooms are available for 2-3, 2-6 and 2-8 persons and are suitable for large group dinners. With English-speaking staff, the restaurant is also recommended for inbound guests.
The restaurant is often used for important occasions such as meetings between two families, and is also an ideal space for a relaxed meal with friends or sophisticated business entertainment.
