"Tatsumiya", a traditional Japanese restaurant in Uji,Kyoto, overturning the Concept of “tea”-not only a drink. As a dish, you could taste the real sprit of tea with pleasure at Tatsumiya. There are dozens of Matcha teas for different ingredients and recipes, Sencha and Gyokuro are also available. "Matcha tofu" with a vivid green color, takes 3 days to make from Hokkaido soybean(strong sweetness) and the finest Matcha. The sweetness of soybeans,the fragrance of Matcha and a delicious flavor bonito and kelp soup stock have been splendidly harmonized. Serving with original tea-ware beautifully.
Located along the edge of Uji River, Tatsumiya is surrounded by greenery. Here is a great location with the view of the Uji River. You can enjoy delicate delicious cuisine with different events; Cherry blossom in Spring, fishing with cormorants in Summer, autumn leaves and all the beauty of season. The counters on the first floor are horigotatsu-style, and the second floor and the third floor are fully equipped with a private room or a large hall. English menu and vegetarian menu (consultation at the time of reservation) are available, it can be used in various situations, such as family gathering, banquets and sightseeing in Kyoto. Reservations are possible from pocket concierge for both lunch and dinner.
