A 2-minute walk from Keage Station in Kyoto. “Dominique Bouchet Kyoto「Le RESTAURANT」” is located on the 3rd floor of “The Westin Miyako Kyoto”, a luxury hotel that represents Kyoto. It is a French restaurant supervised by Dominique Bouchet, a French chef who received 1 stars in Tokyo.

Dominique Bouchet was born in Poitou-Charentes, France, where nature is abundant. He worked as the head chef at a famous restaurant in Paris called “La Tour d'argent” and “Hotel de Crillon”, and became independent in 2004. In Japan, operates "Dominique Bouchet Tokyo" in Ginza, Tokyo, and "Les Copains" bistro. In December 2019, he opened “Dominique Bouchet Kyoto”, which has both "Le Teppanyaki" and "Le RESTAURANT". The restaurant serves French cuisine full of his originality while preserving the traditional sauce.

Akira Sako, the chef of "Le RESTAURANT", started his career at "Sheraton Miyako Hotel Osaka" as a chef de partie for banquet and restaurant. He was selected as sous chef for Dominique Bouchet Kyoto "Le RESTAURANT" at the renewal of "The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto". In April 2022, he was appointed Chef de Cuisine of "Dominique Bouchet Kyoto "Le RESTAURANT”, which has been in business for more than 130 years, is that it cherishes a long history and tradition. "While paying respect to Kyoto, which is surrounded by the deep cultural heritage of Japan and the beautiful nature of each season, we would like our customers to enjoy the true essence of French cuisine that has been handed down until now, together with the light and flavorful sauce that we cherish," said chef Dominque.

The restaurant mainly uses local Kyoto ingredients and serve "something that can only be enjoyed here", such as rare ingredients from France like mushrooms, truffles and beef fillet. The seasonal course menu that features chef Dominque's specialty "Blue lobster jelly" and Chef Sako's Kyoto specialty is attractive. There are about 300 kinds of wine mainly from France, Japan, Italy, California, etc. The sommelier creates the best marriage by considering the combination with the food and the customer's preference. The beer is a specially prepared craft beer, the "Kizakura Kyoto Bakushu Matcha", which you can enjoy the aroma of Kyoto matcha, green bubbles and bitterness derived from hops. Various non-alcoholic drinks, such as grape and ginger sparkling and white and red grape non-sparkling, are available.

The restaurant is in a perfect location where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains of Kitayama and Higashiyama. There is a main dining room with 54 seats, and 2 private rooms (Up to 8) for children under elementary school age. You can enjoy a comfortable dining experience using the space that is suitable for the overall design concept of the hotel, "Queen of Elegance", for dining and dating with family and friends. English and French menus are also available, so it is recommended for guests visiting Kyoto from overseas.
