A tiny 18-seat Chinese restaurant "Sichuan Cuisine Shu Xiang-Xiang" located 3 minutes on foot from Yotsuya Sanchome Station in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Owner chef Mr. Kikujima served as the head chef at the famous Sichuan restaurant "Chouyou", and for many years studying traditional Sichuan cuisine.
Carefully selected ingredients and production areas, creating selected course showing the nature of Sichuan cuisine, by his experience and idea. Travling to Sichuan every year for buying ingredients is also to maintain the quality of dishes. Besides the local Sichuan cuisine, Buddhist cuisine and medicinal cooking are also Shu Xiang-Xiang's specialty. It is possible to adjust the spiciness and portion for each of the guests. The famous 3-way hotpot (Duck's stock, medicinal soup and Mala soup) can be swapped any of the three to a mushroom soup (request during reservation). Tiny restaurant with full of hospitality, beloved by lots of regular guests.
Dinner with friends without pressure or causal dating are recommended. Also vegetarian menu is available (request during reservation), foreigners with different diets are welcome!
