French restaurant Monolith, located just off Aoyama-dori —the road leading from Shibuya to Omotesando— a perfect venue for welcoming matured guests. When you go through the entrance door, you will see a short corridor leading you into the dining hall and away from the hustle and bustle of the street. The restaurant interior features moderate colors, providing the atmosphere of a French family-run restaurant.

After training at A Tes Souhaits in Aoyama, Chef Go Ishii refined his techniques further in France with Georges Blanc, Jean Bardet, and Bernard Robin. After returning to Japan, he gained world gourmet guide award as the head chef of the Monna Lisa, in Marunouchi. Chef Ishii is a highly experienced professional with an excellent track record, having achieved second prize at Le Taittinger Concours Japon for two consecutive years. Chef Ishii focuses on creating course menus featuring dishes that incorporate an abundance of seasonal vegetables. Amongst these, his monthly menu Menu Neo Monolith showcases many Japanese ingredients with dishes full of seasonal specialties from Japan, attracting many regular guests who look forward to a new experience.

    ・ゆっくりと食事できた ・お店の雰囲気もリラックスできた ・どの料理もおいしくいただけた ・特にお魚の食感がとても柔らかくて驚き ・ペアリングのワインが料理にあっていた ・分量も多すぎずちょうど良かった ・デザートが少しずつ色々あった ・デザートに誕生日のメッセージを入れてもらえた ・ワゴンの車輪がきしんで意外と大きな音がしていたので手入れしたらよいかと思います
