With the leisurely Naka River flowing right in front of its doorstep in the center of urban Fukuoka-Hakata, Michelin 1-star restaurant "Teppanyaki Nakano" is located in one of the most beautiful spots in the city. Located across the river from Hakata’s landmark Canal City Hakata, the restaurant’s location is convenient, too.

Bringing a new approach to the teppanyaki restaurant’s menu is its representative, Yoshino Bekki. This veteran chef has been the head chef for Hakata’s Hotel Seahawks Teppanyaki and teppanyaki restaurant "Muro". He was also the one who opened the steak restaurant "Butcher," a restaurant which used cured meats before their recent boom. He brings all these experiences with him to his position as head chef of Teppanyaki Nakano.

In addition to the course meals, there is a plentiful a la carte menu. The appetizers platter is changed every 2 weeks to make use of fresh seasonal ingredients, and diners are delighted by the abundance of the 8 to 10 items arrayed before them. The course meals include grilled live lobster, for which the restaurant always keeps live lobsters in stock, and the black abalone from the Genkai Sea are also popular. Meat dishes use only the most luxurious of A5 grade filets of Japanese Black Wagyu from around Kyushu: Kagoshima, Miyazaki, and Saga Prefectures. With 60 types of wine to pair with dishes and 10 types each of sake and shochu on hand, the restaurant can respond flexibly to diners’ requests.

The 12-seat and 6-seat counters available in the warm and woody interior all provide delightful vistas of the Naka River. It is an excellent setting for business entertainment, dates, or anniversaries, and families with children can make use of the 4-person or 8-person private rooms for their family dinners. Come to enjoy a precious moment along with the most luxurious view in all of Hakata.

    基本的にメニューにない伊勢海老を 取り寄せて頂き、また それも新しい料理方法で 新鮮で 美味しかったです 肉も十分堪能しました よく「神戸の雪月下」にいきますが それと同じか、超える料理と対応でした 交通費が安い分、御店を伺う回数が 増えると思います。
