French restaurant Monolith, located just off Aoyama-dori —the road leading from Shibuya to Omotesando— a perfect venue for welcoming matured guests. After training at A Tes Souhaits in Aoyama, Chef Go Ishii refined his techniques further in France with Georges Blanc, Jean Bardet, and Bernard Robin. After returning to Japan, he gained world gourmet guide award as the head chef of the Monna Lisa, in Marunouchi.
Chef Ishii is a veteran chef with a brilliant track record, having won the second prize at Le Tetangier Concours Japon two years in a row and being selected as a "great restaurant" by the international gourmet guide.Chef Ishii focuses on creating course menus featuring dishes that incorporate an abundance of seasonal vegetables. Amongst these, his monthly menu Menu Neo Monolith showcases many Japanese ingredients with dishes full of seasonal specialties from Japan, attracting many regular guests who look forward to a new experience.
